9 Month Check-up

We had a visit with the doctor yesterday - although they will be 10 months next week it was still considered their 9 month 'well-visit' appointment. The boys are doing great and have been given the green light to continue introducing more 'real' food. Right now our favorite is peas....they enjoy the challenge of snagging them with their fingers and we enjoy how it distracts them for a good 30 minutes! Size wise Jake continutes to be the BIG boy - he measured 30 inches and 22 pounds 10 ounces. Lucas was 29 inches and 20 pounds 6 ounces. The boys heads both measured in the 90+ percentile...go figure...what do they say - big head = big brain!!

side bar....zach was 30.5 inches and 21 pounds, 8 ounces at 9 months...and also had a big head. =)

Week around Rochester

It was festival week at Geneseo - Zach is showing off his face painting from the dime carnival.

Jake's new look - the nose scrunch! He makes it randomly but at this point he had just had a bite of ice-cream sandwich.

Zach didn't want to go for a ride on Opa or Papa's tractor - he did enjoy playing on them when they were parked!

It's not sweat but it was HOT! I put water in the boys cupholders of the stroller so they could splash and stay cool.

Our visit with Opa - playing soccer in the backyard. It is so beautiful with the Lake right there!

Jake and Luke enjoying some pool time with their Grandpas!

The traveling crew!

Park with Oma

7.10 Vitale Park - NY

fish

Zach started the week at Oma & PaPa Prestons a little timid around the water. By the end of the week Mr. Froggy (his floaty) was his best pal and he was jumping in and having a blast. Opa came to visit and couldn't believe the progress since mid-week at his pool =)!

mobility status

I am very content to report that the boys are not mobile. That's really not an accurate statement...the truth is they are not crawling. They roll and reach and flop around...but the official crawl has yet to happen.

Our little Lucas

At 9 months Lucas has a mouth full of teeth. Four are in on the top and are clearly visible =), and three on the bottom. He is our clapper.....whenever he wants attention he is clapping and smiling until you look at him! My nickname for him is laid-back-lukey....he is such an easy baby! The boys have their 9-month appointment with the doctor in a couple of weeks (I am slacking on scheduling these things!).
