The week of partying really tired the boys out!

Jake & Luke are 1!

The babies are 1! It was a fun (yet emotional) day at the Falls house. Opa and Yaya arrived to help celebrate and we ended the day with pizza and a little party for the boys. It was a beautiful fall day and we enjoyed every minute of it.

The cake went over well with the boys but honestly they didn't attack it like I thought they would. Or at least Jake didn't devour it like I thought he may. Jake enjoyed mashing it between his fingers more than eating it....and Luke just wasn't too sure. It was fun to watch and we will also try to post video of the event =).

We visited the doctor and everything is well. We needed reassurance that Luke's army crawl wasn't too out of sorts and that gagging on sippy cups was "normal". The doctor confirmed that everything looks good! Jake is weighing in at 23 pounds 14 ounces (60 percentile) and 31 inches (85%) and Luke was 21 pounds 4 ounces (30%) and 30 1/4 inches (60%).

September 24 - Boys turn 1!

Zoo 2008.6 - with the Mezzanotte's

We met our friends at the zoo on Saturday and it was a beautiful afternoon. Poor Maria was a trooper....she's due the end of October! It was the boys first adventure in the wagon and it worked out great! We are also introducing the sippy cup - enjoy the pictures!

i love this kid!

This is just such a fun age...some days I look at him and am just amazed! His little mind is always working and I love to hear/see what he's going to say/do next. We are enjoying every moment of these terrible twos....

Party

We arrived Saturday and got settled. Oma flew in from Rochester on Saturday night - it was great to have her join us for the week. On Sunday Mike, Alecia, Teddy, Olivia and Addison Parsons joined us for a day of parties....pool, pizza and pj!! The kids had fun and it was a great visit. Mike's parents, residents of the island, also joined us for dinner! Fun was had by all who didn't mind the absolute chaos.

road trip

We took our first extended road trip as a family of five to Hilton Head Island, SC. Overall the trip was a complete success - the boys did great in the car and our stay was a blast! So fun to see some old friends and watch the boys explore the water at the beach, pool and bathtub. Enjoy the photos below.


The first day (Friday) we left around noon and drove down to Charlotte, NC to stay the night with Julie. It was great to see her place and hang out for a quick visit. We left around 10am Saturday morning to finish the 4 remaining hour drive to HHI.

Our visit with Elle

The Valpredo's traveled from the west coast to Cleveland/Akron for the Holiday weekend so we drove up to spend the day with them and have some fun. It was our first time meeting Elle - who is 8 weeks older than Jake & Luke. We had lunch, spent some time at the Akron Zoo and then had a pizza party! It was a fun visit but hard to say goodbye - we miss the good old days of living in Columbus together. Below are more pictures from our time together.
