Zoo trip 2010.1 (3/19)

We were lucky to have a beautiful week of weather so the boys and I took advantage and headed to the Zoo on Friday morning. It was our first trip of the year had been way too long since our last visit. I will say that it was a little sad - in general Pittsbugh experienced a lot of house/tree damage from the snow but the zoo was in rough shape! A lot of the animals weren't on display as their "homes" were being repaired/cleaned up. We still had a great time and enjoy the morning outside.

We were so excited for our vacation this year. It was Jake and Luke's first time on an airplane and our first flight as a family of five! We flew into Orlando and stayed in our timeshare which was a 15 minute drive to Magic Kingdom. The place was perfect with three heated pools, a playground, basketball courts, minigolf, etc. right on the property. We were close enough to Disney that one afternoon Eric and I walked over to Downtown Disney and made dinner reservations at the Rainforest cafe. Oma met us in Orlando and we were so lucky she could join us! It worked out perfect to share the memories with her and to have that extra set of hands in the pool and park! There is no doubt we will keep a vacation on our calendar every March!! We left WINTER in PA and came home to SPRING!!
