brown bears

What a difference a year makes!! We went from bribing Zach to kick the ball to a scoring machine!! Something clicked over the winter and it was a ton of fun to see Z succeed on the field. The brown bears had the best coach - Coach Falls!!! :)

surprise visitors

My high school band teacher, Mr. Minges, was in town with his family for the Pirate vs. Phillies baseball game and luckily we were able to get together for an afternoon. Cari Kruppner, a bestfriend growing up, lives in Pittsburgh and joined us for a mini reunion.

Opa & Yaya

Zach loved every minute of having Opa and Yaya here!!

goodbye tonsils and adenoids

On Monday, June 6th, Eric and I brought Jake to the Children's surgery center at 6:45AM for his 7:30 surgery. We were both a bit nervous and feeling a tad guilty because Jake had no idea what "giving away" his tonsils meant. Innocence is bliss!!! right?!?!?

We were lucky to have Opa & Yaya at the house to spend time with Zach and Lucas during surgery and for the days following so that we could cater to all of his needs.

The above pictures are from before the surgery and below are after.

We love you Jacob! Our hope is that this helps you in the long run!! You weren't sick often but the tonsils were "kissing" and removing them will help you breath, talk, and sleep :)!!

pumpkin seeds

The boys each started a pumpkin seed in school and Grandma Preston also started some in Geneseo so we decided to give it a shot this summer and see if we can grow our own pumpkins for Halloween 2011!! Grandma started a patch on a hill by our large tree in the back - we have been watering and are hoping all of are bunny and deer friends don't eat them!!

Jake & Luke's last day of 3YO PS

Our last year with Ms Joan! Zachary had her last year, J&L this year....and we all loved her! The boys had a great year and will move on to a MWF morning class next Fall.

Zach's last day of Preschool

I had mixed emotions on Zach's last day - I was excited and proud but also sad that he will be a "big kid" next year! He is more than ready and loves school so we are hoping for an easy transition in the Fall. Thanks to Maryanne and Erin for being wonderful teachers!! The bottom picture is a couple friends - Avery, Timmy (Z's favorite buddy), and Matthew.
