On Tuesday, August 30th, two days before Kindergarten started, we went to Lincoln for an "interview" with Zach's teacher, Ms. Lewis. We could tell that Zach had a lot of different emotions going on - he acted excited and proud yet very nervous around this new teacher. He went in the classroom to work with Ms. Lewis for about 10 minutes and got a tour of his room and locker before coming back out to see us.

empty nesters visit
Our cousins Jane & Doug dropped their youngest son Jeff off at Fredonia and decided to prolong going home to an empty house by coming to Pittsburgh for a few days. We were glad to have them! We had a lot going on during the week and the boys were WILD but the highlight was our adventure down to the Pirates game. Jane had never been on the T so we took the T downtown and then the boat over the rivers to the 5pm game on Monday night. It ended up being a double header but we left after the pirates lost the first game and started the journey home. It was hot but fun. :)

Hilton - August 2011
We left Geneseo/Avon on Sunday morning and headed to Hilton to spend a couple of days with Opa & Yaya and the Isaacs who were visiting from Dallas. The boys were super excited to spend some time with cousins! Again, it was a quick visit but we were able to squeeze a lot in - swimming, kick ball, soccer, bike ride at Hamlin Beach park, more birthday celebrating and Buffalo Bills training camp at St. John Fisher. We had a wonderful trip and felt blessed to be able to spend time with everyone on our visit to Rochester!

Cornfest 2011
We traveled back to Geneseo on Friday 8/12 and went to the Corn Fest in Avon on Saturday. It was a quick but fun visit that included swimming in both Oma and Papa's and Jane and Doug's pool, dinner at Tom Wahls, Birthday Celebration for me (#33-yikes), and a lots of laughs and card games!
