Birthday celebration in Rochester

We traveled back to Hilton for the weekend and the boys were lucky enough to have a family birthday celebration for the big #5!!  We arrived in Hilton on Friday evening after picking Jeff up in Fredonia and then "dropping him off" in Leroy with Jane and Doug. We arrived to a festive house as Yaya had decorated for the boys!! Despite the rain on Saturday we were able to go for a walk before heading to the Dinosaur BBQ for a tastey birthday dinner with Oma, Papa, Jane, Doug and Jeff. After dinner everyone came back to Hilton for some presents, cake and icecream. Fun was had by ALL....especially the birthday boys!

Pirates vs Cubs

Jane, Doug, Jeff, and Brad (Jeff's friend, aka Fred) came to town for a quick visit and to go to the Pirates game Saturday night. We played games Friday night, ran errands in the rain Saturday and then the rain stopped and we headed downtown on the T to grab dinner and go to the game. It was a perfect night for a game, and an excellent firework display after the game. Sunday we had breakfast at the Dorstop and then they got on the road.

The boys started their final year of preschool this week and are very excited! We switched to a new school and couldn't be happier!!

Labor Day Zoo Trip

We had a very laid back Labor day. Decided to take advantage of Zach and Eric having the day off by going to the zoo!

First!!

On 8/27/12, Zach went to his FIRST day of FIRST grade. He had his lunch packed and he was ready for his FIRST full day of school. There were no tears....from Zach or parents!

Boston getaway

Eric and I "escaped" for a weekend in Boston 8/17-8/19. Opa and Yaya came down to help celebrate my Birthday and then stayed with the boys while we were gone. We had a blast and the boys did too! Thanks Opa & Yaya!!
