Fun in the Sun - Orlando 2011

We had a great vacation in Orlando this year and am so glad we decided to stay two weeks. The weather was perfect, 80 and sunny, and we took full advantage! Below are some favorite pictures and also an album from the trip. Enjoy!

Cousin Joanne came up from Miami to visit for a couple of days.

Highlights/Memories from the trip:

1. The boys did not take naps at all on vacation and most likely will not nap again on a regular basis. (yikes!)
2. We had bright sunny 80 degree days with the exception of one day of rain (went bowling) followed by a cooler day (spent at Animal Kingdom).
3. We did one day at Magic Kingdom, one day at Animal Kingdom and one at Typhoon Lagoon.
4. The boys loved the shows at Animal Kingdown - we did all 3 (Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Flights of Wonder). Their favorite ride was the jeep Safari!! Oma and Jake almost got bounced out of the back row!
5. We went to Downtown Disney (T-Rex) and Universal City walk (Margaritaville) for dinner and otherwise cooked meals at home (ordered pizza).
6. My Dad's cousin Joanne drove up from Miami and stayed with us a couple of nights. She made an amazing dinner and really bonded with the boys - fun!
7. In the pool: Zach swam all over the pool with his floatee and felt 100% comfortable. He loved to jump in but did not go under water. He experimented with getting his face wet but avioded it when possible. Jake is a little fish! He loves to swim and jump in and did not mind going under. His favorite is to float on his back and roll around in the water. Lucas started the week VERY timid. He would cling to the ladder or whoever was holding him in the pool. By the end of the two weeks he was jumping in, going under, and swimming around with his brothers. So fun to see thier progress. They are starting weekly swim lessons this week so we are hoping to have some swimmers by the end of summer!
8. Lucas loves mini golf! We played at least once a day on the 9 hole course at our resort.
9. Typhoon Lagoon was a blast - there were so many different things to do! It was great to see the boys explore on water slides, tube rides, wave pool, lazy river, etc.
