Bike night

Luke is determined to ride his bike without training wheels!! We decided to take them to flat land to practice and both Jake and Luke did great! A couple more nights of practice and they will be on 2 wheels!

Church Sunday

We did really well going to Church fairly regularly during the school year but that has been more of a challenge this summer. Last weekend we did not have a lot going on and were glad to get back to Church.

Jake and Luke are doing Camp for the next couple of weeks and they love it!! They play at the park, do arts & crafts, have snack, swim and get to see/ make new friends!!

Hot Summer!

It is like the 15th day of the summer where it has been over 90 degrees. Typically Pittsburgh averages 8 days over 90 per year. CRAZY! My car said 99 this afternoon - HOT! Thankful to have a few different pools to visit! We were at Jodi's this afternoon with some great friends!

Eby & Quinn visit

We were so excited for this visit - we had been counting the days!!! Unfortunately I got sick the night they arrived and was in bed the entire day Friday and still not feeling well Saturday. It was such a bummer for me but the boys still had a blast with Quinn!! I am thankful to have such a great friend like Eby!! She made the most of the weekend and was a great "sister-wive" to Eric in my absence! (Eric is also the best husband in the world who completely stepped it up while I was sick in bed)

July 4th 2012

This is the first year we have been home for the 4th so we planned out a good dinner and adventure in the city. We started by making Yaya's German potato salad, a pretzel strawberry salad, and marinating a steak. After lunch we took the T down to the Pirates game - our first time on the extension (under the river). After the game we came home and grilled put and enjoyed our tasty meal before walking to the top of our hill to enjoy 3 different firework displays - Mt Lebo, Scott township, and dormont. It was a great day!

Annual Campout - 6/30/2012

The Schwartz's went all out this year for the kids!! They had water balloons, snow cones, fireworks, a movie, popcorn machine.... and the kids had a blast! (the parents did too!) All five of us slept in the tent under the stars - perfect night!

VBS 2012

The theme of VBS this year was Sonrise National Park. I taught one of the preschool classes so we brought in some tents, sleeping bags, and stuffed animals to get our room ready for a week of "camping" (forgot to take pictures). It was a fun week and I have a new appreciation for teachers as I was completely exhausted by the 3rd day!!

Seabreeze - Rochester NY

Eric had a bachelor party in Michigan so I decided to take the boys and have a fun weekend back in Rochester. The boys and I had a lot of fun checking out Eric's old stomping grounds, Seabreeze! Eric worked at this amusement park during the summers of college!! We also had fun checking out the Erie Canal in Pittsford!!

Father's Day 2012

After golfing on Saturday with our neighbor - Eric enjoyed a day with the family on Sunday. We went to church in the morning and Eric chose to try out a new breakfast place - The Dor Stop Restaurant. It was just a hole in the wall place but very tasty - it was actually featured on the show "Diners, Drive-In's and Dives". It was a fun day!
